| SECTION
I: DEFINITIONS |
| Article
1 |
| Provisional
students are those students who have been authorized
to register for academic programmes that do not necessarily
lead to an academic degree, professional title or certification
in one of the programmes offered by the University. |
| SECTION
II: ON THE PREREQUISITES FOR ACQUIRING THE STATUS
OF PROVISIONAL STUDENT |
| Article

Those
students who comply with the following prerequisites
may apply for the status of provisional student:
- Possession
of a professional title or academic degree.
- Registered
as a university student at the time of application.

3 |
Individuals
applying to register as provisional students must
present the following documentation to the respective
Academic Faculty:
- Certificate
of professional title or academic degree, student
registration or course credits, according to
whether the applicant has a professional title
or academic degree, is registered as a student
or has previously taken university courses without
completing an academic degree, respectively.
- Application
to register as a provisional student.

III: ON THE REGISTRATION FOR COURSES BY PROVISIONAL
STUDENTS |
| Article
4 |
| The
Academic Faculties will be responsible, within the
deadlines established by the University for this purpose,
for providing information on the acceptance or refusal
of applicants for registration as provisional students,
according to the prerequisites and places available
in the courses applied for. Information concerning
accepted students must be transmitted to the Academic
Registrar Faculty. |

5 |
| Once
an application to register for a course has been accepted,
the Academic Registrar Faculty will proceed to process
the registration upon presentation of the receipt for
payment of the matriculation fee. |
| Article
6 |
| Students
may register for a maximum of four courses per semester. |
| Article
7 |
| A
student may register as a provisional student for a
maximum of 15 courses. |
| SECTION
IV: ON THE PREREQUISITES FOR PASSING A COURSE |
| Article
8 |
| The
requirements applicable to provisional students for
the passing of courses will be the same as those for
regular students. |
| SECTION
V: ON THE ACCREDITATION OF COURSES |
| Article
9 |
| Those
students who acquire the status of regular student,
having previously passed courses whilst holding the
status of provisional student, will automatically be
accredited those courses. |
| SECTION
VI: ON CERTIFICATION |
| Article
10 |
| Students
who have passed the courses they registered for under
the status of provisional student will have the right
to request the corresponding certificate together with
a transcript of the grade achieved. |
| SECTION
VII: ON FEES |
| Article
11 |
| The
University will review, on an annual basis, the fees
for those courses offered in the provisional category,
for both Chilean and foreign students. |

VI: ON CIRCUMSTANCES NOT FORESEEN UNDER THE PRESENT
REGULATIONS |
| Article
12 |
| Those
issues not considered under the present Code of Regulations
will be resolved by the Office of the Deputy Academic
Dean. |
