UDP Study


The main objective of the exchange program is to encourage and facilitate the participation and integration of foreign students from those universities which Universidad Diego Portales (UDP) has exchange agreements.

Through this exchange program, foreign students may remain at UDP for a period of one semester or a period of one academic year. The courses taken during the exchange period will be accredited.

How to Apply

Students wishing to apply to the Exchange Program shall make sure that their university has an exchange agreement with UDP.

Verify that your university has an agreement with UDP: See the list of universities If that is the case, the students shall be nominated, via e-mail, by the coordinator or director of International Relations of their university. The nomination shall include the student’s e-mail address. Once nominated, students will be contacted by the UDP coordinator of International Relations, who will provide instructions to apply on line.

On line application

Once they have received the instructions to access the on line application form, students shall complete all the fields and attach the following documents:

  • Academic transcript (original).
  • Photocopy of passport.
  • Certification of Spanish language.
  • Letter of intent with expectations regarding the exchange.

When to Apply
  • 1st Semester (From March to July): Closing date for reception of applications: November 30th.
  • 2nd Semester (From August to December): Closing date for reception of applications: May 31st.
Visa Information

All foreign students coming to study in Chile for one academic semester must obtain a valid student visa. Permission to work is not granted with this type of visa.

To apply for a student visa you must go to the nearest Chilean Consulate in your country. Visit http://chileabroad.gov.cl/ to find a delegation on your home country.
